JOB PURPOSE
Provides administrative, clerical, and public-facing support services for the Roxwood County Sheriff’s Office. Serves as an initial point of contact for the public and assists with the efficient operation of the Sheriff’s Office by managing records, communications, and routine administrative functions. This is a civilian position and does not exercise law enforcement authority.

Understand and work within Roxwood County Government Policies and Procedures and the Policies and Procedures of the Roxwood County Sheriff’s Office.

Accept shared responsibility with other team members to successfully accomplish the goals of each team.
Assure quality in work performed to facilitate the delivery of quality public services.
Maintain confidentiality and protect the County by safeguarding information concerning clients, investigations, and County operations.
POSITION SUMMARY
Provides front desk and public counter services by greeting visitors, answering phones, responding to general inquiries, and directing individuals to appropriate personnel or resources.
Processes administrative documents including forms, correspondence, records requests, and internal paperwork in accordance with department policies.
Maintains and updates administrative records, logs, and databases with accuracy and attention to detail.
Assists sworn personnel and command staff with clerical and administrative support as assigned.
Coordinates scheduling, appointments, and routine office activities.
Receives, logs, and routes incoming mail, reports, and documents.
Maintains office organization and supplies to ensure efficient daily operations.
Supports compliance with department procedures by following established administrative protocols and recommending improvements when appropriate.
Contributes to team efforts by completing related administrative tasks as needed.
Supports county safety and health policies by attending required training and reporting safety concerns to a supervisor.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Prior secretarial or records management experience preferred but not required
Experience in government, law enforcement, or secure facilities is a plus
